The photo I came across is damaged right where my father would have been sitting. Any ideas in how I might find an undamaged image? He died 3 years ago today, and there aren’t very many photos that I have from his childhood. |

I was born in 1949 and lived at 90 Shepherd Ave. My grandparents owned the house, there last name was James and my parents rent the 2nd floor. As kid it was great growing up in those days, Highland Park, the handball courts, flying my kite In the open area above the baseball fields. Going to the Emba**y theater on Sat afternoons, the YMCA with the indoor pool, Cordes ice cream parlor, Herman Cordes even show me the basement one time where he made ice cream and did his magic, the man was a master at his trade. It was all great. I went to PS 108, JHS 171, ENY. As a teen I worked at the candy store at Fulton and Norward. Some of the best times was with my girlfriend Lynne going to the Emba**y, Cordes, the roller rink, Friday Dances at St Michaels. A special thanks to Tim O’Reilly for all the content he give to the site, his mother was my aunt and my godmother. |
