Date: Wed 03/4/09 2:12AM From: George Kuck Email: Best4U@aol.com Message: I was born in at 254 on the corner of Forbell St. and Pitken Ave. My grandparents lived at 252 Forbell. I Remember that on the east side of the house which ran along Pitken there was a fairly steep hill, although back then it was probably steep to my young legs. My parents moved to Ozone PArk, Queens, I can remember my mother and I walkiing once a week down Old Douth Rd. (Pitken) for a 'Coffee Klatsch' In your note section on Dec 18 2006 you had 2 pics showing the side of the old Borden Milk plant. My Grandfather had worked in the old Borden's horse barns. Is there any way I could get copies of these pics?? YOur pics in "East New York #1" had pics of 'City Line'which I remember well especially 'Nathan's Bar' |
