Message: I lived on Montauk and Pitkin from 1954-1960. I think the address was 90. We latter moved to Van Siclen Ave. between Fulton and Arlington. on Montauk Avenue I remember Montauk cleaners, Harold's Deli ,there was also a movie house a shoe maker and a bar i can't remember their names. The house I lived in there was a family named Connell's Tom and Fay also Gasper, Marget Stabile and 2 girls named Rosella and Augusta.

Message: My father had the grocery at New Jersey Ave. at Glenmore, and I went to PS 76 through the 6th grade. I then moved to Jerome St. at Belmont and attended IS 171 for a year and a half. Moved to Far Rockaway in 1960. Now live in Chicago area, and this site brings back great memories! Keep up the great effort.

Message: This message is for Dick Brower. When you mentioned your friends names, one of them being Sal Ficara, it brought back many memories.

I wonder if it's the same Sal Ficara that my older sister Anita Crescimanno dated when they were teenagers.

My family was kind of old fashioned so when they went to the movies at the Kinema they had to take me. I can remember Sal buying me potato chips (probably to keep me "quiet").

Hope he's doing well.
