Oh, yeah..Lived on Berriman St. until 1964, graduated from St.Gabe's. Move to Richmond Hill, but kept hanging out on New Lots ave until 18. My closest friend (still) is Randy Caropolo. She married Bobby Caropolo about 100 years ago, and they still haven't killed each other, AMAZING!! Seriously, I think about all the teen couples from that era that are still together. Sonny and Joanne, Danny and Ro Oliva, Dave and Linda, Terry and Bruno,and a ton more than I'm forgettng. who would ever have believed that all that "puppy love" would have survived all these years. Good for them! I will be sure to tell Richie about this site. I'm sure you'll see him here in the future. He's a novice when it comes to the internet, but I'm sure he can figure it out. I have tons of pics from the reunion. You are probably in some of them and I don't even know it! Do you remember the video we showed of all the old pics? I gotta get that on a disc. Keep in touch! |

ME and my friend Randy Caropolo! It was at Bop Shoo Bop. I live in Florida now, and Richie and I are very close. He was visiting from Costa Rica beginning of Dec. and will be back again in Feb. With all due respect to all the St. Rita and St. Michael's crew, I am sooo glad to finally find a New Lots Boy!!! Actually we had a mini reunion here in Naples during the summer. Sonny and Joann, Hi-Ho, Sandy M, and Lee all met at a bar one night. It was great to see everyone. Were you at the reunion we had in 1991 in Rosedale?? I remember your "FLASH" name graffited all over the place on New Lots avenue and in the park, but I was a "tot", and my crowd was Little Joe, Minor, the Droopy brothers, the Caropolos, Mary Ellen Borgesano,etc. Papo. Of course, the older we got, the more we all started hanging out together. Joannie Malandrucca (Mousie's sister) was one of my best friends, along with Julie Mazzaro and RoseAnn Dempsey. |
