Date: Sat 12/20/08 6:04PM From: Mario Zambrano Email: Franshley@Yahoo.com Message: Hello all, I want to wish all my fellow East New Yorkers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Growing up in ENY and going up to Highland Park with my friends to go sledding down that magnificent hill and then over that little hump! Christmas was always special and it will always stay with me. I have another thing to say and that is to those of you who used to go to ma** at St. Malachy's church, which was located on Van Siclen, or who were Baptized there, did their First Communion, their Confirmation and many other special things, its doors will close for good next January 2009. The Deacon will be serving the very last ma** on the 25th of January at 11:15 am. On the 11th they will have a reception in the school gym after the 11:15 ma**. I hope that all who called this grand old little church home every Sunday morning will be able to attend to pay their respect to her for all that she has meant to us. God Bless! Mario Zambrano |
