I've seen some names that I haven't thought of in years (I graduated from PS 108 in '64 & St Rita's {Sr. Mary Frances Paula} in '66. To Lisa Mando, I was that chubby kid who lived next to the apartment house on the corner of Linwood St & Arlington Avenue. Your dog Mickey gave my dog Sandy puppies! And then, MaryAnn Sileo's dog Blackie gave her a 2nd litter! I see Joey Pirrone here (Dennis McClafferty moved out to Happauge with his wife Mae), Josine Abbraciamento & Linda Zaccara from St. Rita's. Hey Guys, I'm still here, in Middle Village. Drop me a line and we'll reminisce! Remember Bill & Betty's grocery store across the street from PS108? Hugs to All, Rich Moore (mrich52@aol.com) |

I just happened to stumble upon your website, and I cannot begin to tell you how many wonderful memories it has brought back to me. I grew up at 291 Arlington Avenue (my folks bought the house back in 1953), and I went to PS 108 & to St. Rita's. I saw the picture of MaryAnn La Neve with Maria Byrne in the background, I grew up with both of them. I'm going to dig out MY old pictures and see how I can go about sending them in. My house was to the right of 289 Arlington Avenue, the 4 floor apartment house, and I'd NEVER seen a pic of it going back to 1939! Amazing! |

I am a little younger than you. I hung around with Ricky and Bobby Kuhlman, Michael Ray, Greg Gallo and Keith Testa. We used to built those things and ride them down the driveway hills. I thought those hills were real steep. I went back recently and couldn't believe how small they were! Tony |
