Message: Hello Hal Smith -
Yes, Phyllis was a first cousin on my Dad's side, she lived on Grant Ave also just a block south of me - saldy, leukemia took her many years ago.
Mike Andrews is also a first cousin (Dad's sister's son). We haven't seen him much over the last few years, but he and I are about the same age and were fairly close growing up.

Message: Wow, talk about a trip down memory lane. Awesome site! Would love to connect with old buddies. Graduated St. Michaels grammar school 1970 and went to the HS for two years after that. Anyone remember Sr. Ann Dominic, Sr. Philomena, Sr. Pat, Mr. Thornton, or Sr. Ferrer (The Terror) LOL!!! Smoking in the bathroom, playing in the school yard across the street, basketball games, dances, Sam Catapano (my first love) Pat Nissan (Prettiest girl in the school who was my my best friend for many years but who wound up kicking my a** in front of the whole school at least I think it was her --oops too much of the wacky tobaccy fogging the brain LOL) Hope my kids don't see this post! They think I'm perfect! Any talk of re-unions? Thanks again for the great memories.......Jo

Message: I remember Ungar's Delicatessen. Are tou related to the late Phillis Randazzo, who I went to 171 with also Mike Andrews and the tailor on Liberty Ave. in City Line

Message: How did I get here ??

Now if you could just put Ungar's Delicatesson back on the corner of Nichols and Aetna, set the price of a Bologna hero to 60 cents and have some 5 cent Devil Dogs on the rack near the sodas, things will be just fine.

I lived at 53 Grant Ave and and myself (John Randazzo) and two brothers, Larry and Richard all attended BSS from the early 60s through early 70s

So I see some familar names ....Steve Lamarche, John Shevlin (there can only be one) - Yeah, Shevlin, he's the guy who led the afternoon ritual of grabbing me while in the school yard and throwing me in the poor box. I'd kill to have a beer with you guys; get in touch if you are so inclined.

I still have half of my Altar-boy uniform the ca**ock I think; the black robe part (No, I was never hurt by any of the priests at BS Church). Some of those priests were so cool, and the trips to Rye playland....help me.

And Ms LaForte, if you have a brother Steven, tell him I said hi. Ask him about the day we lit a zilch in your living room and nearly set the house on fire. Thankfully, we weren't hurt. Man am I pi**ed about missing th elast reunion. Please, get a contact database started up so this doesn't happen again; or do I have to do it ?

all the best - stay (or get) in touch

John
