There were a lot of kids from Glendale and Ozone park going to the school. Then there were us kids from the wrong side of the tracks from Brooklyn  I heard that a few years later the school fell on hard times after some re-zoning. What a shame. It was a great school with great teachers. Does anyone remember the name of the Math Teacher at Lane that lived on Sheppard Ave? |

We had great teachers in the program,they really cared about us. If you were not in the program the school was tough.It is amazing anyone made it out alive. |

When I started as a sophomore, there were over 4,000 students total. Only approx 700 of us graduated in 6/73. The school was bad then and the teachers were afraid but I still got a very good education. As for the reunion, where and when will it be held and for what graduating years? |

Lane will be shut down due to poor graduation rates.....HOW SAD! looks like our reunion in June '08 will be the last one for Lane while it is still open.... |
