On the Alumni thread, there were photos of Father Concagh, Mr. Casey, Mr. McNamarra, Herb Hess, etc. that brought back some good memories. |

I did "career day" at the Prep last year at the former Mater Christi HS in Astoria. Very interesting with young ladies in the classroom with the guys. Light years away from our academic background under the Vincentian Fathers and really tough lay professors like Mr. Gil Long in an all boy environment. Eddie |

It has brought back so many memories. I especially remember Willies, we lived a few doors down on Atlantic Ave.& Linwood St. St.Ritas & the feast which ran all along Liberty Ave. My grandfather used to pin the dollor bills to the Saints during the procession. My dad worked in the church also. Thanks again this is the greatest site ever. |

Date: Mon 04/2/07 8:33PM From: Joey DiPrima Email: Joepar44@yahoo.com Message: Paula, I checked out a map bordering City Line Park. My error, there wasn't a High St. There was a Hill St. and a Wells St. that was parallel to Liberty Ave. and ran from Chestnut to Fountain. |
