Also at that age after quitting the Essex Market I worked for 25 cents per hour for Smiley's variety store located corner of Essex and Fulton |

I also remember my My Mother once dragging one of my brothers to Brenner's by the ear to apologize because he swiped something from Mr. Brenner's store. I am sure that everyone remembers going to get bread and milk at the Deli. I think a guy named Bob owned it before Kurt and Lily bought it. How about the Beauty Parlor on the corner too? |

Nat was really nice and Joe was a little grumpy. I also remember everyone got their cards and meds from Carracappa (sp) pharmacy and we used to get haircuts from Vinny the Barber. Vinny would always cut you behind the ears. I guess his sight was starting to go. |

My sister graduated from Blessed Sacrament in 63 or 64 not sure which. I did work at Blessed Sacrament for 10 years and a few of those years were right beside Mrs.Martin the school Secretary. My Heart will always be with Blessed Sacrament. |
