And not to mention how you were able to walk around all hours of the day or night. How about those french Fries at the fish store I would give anything to taste those again. Who was Ester she sounds familiar, where did she work? My brother also had a restaurant on fulton between Norwood and Logan back in the 6o's. My dad owned the waste paper business on Atlantic Ave.My Uncle Charlie would bowl at hale every Monday night on a league.Wish those days were back. |

Till this day I haven't had pizza as good as he made it. And his italian food still can't be beat....... |
Date: Tue 01/16/07 7:50AM From: Threse Email: tere19@aol.com Message: Tim, yes my uncle owned Lorenzo's. I dont remember the years, but will find out for you. I do remember the juke box, next the kitchen doors, on the right hand side. Each time the guy came to change those 45's I would run to the restaurant and he would give some of those he was taking out from the juke box. The rest I bought next door at Sid's. I had and still have quite a collection of them. Lorenzo's was the resturants name. My uncle real name was Ciro Sorrentino, but I used to call him Uncle Jerry. I was very proud and still proud of him. He was a great man. and till the day he passed his food was great!!!!! |
