Date: Sat 04/28/12 5:36PM From: Tom Hammond Email: tominterline69@aol.com Message: I met Tommy when I used to pick up my girlfriend, who attended St. Michael's. He would also be waiting for his girlfriend Linda. We managed to keep in touch over the intervening 4+ decades. I always got a kick out of Tommy, always smiling, always up for a good time. Dude would give you the shirt off his back. Gonna miss him: he's been part of my life for so long I cannot believe he's gone. |

Date: Mon 04/16/12 7:48PM From: Richard Nowak Email: ricoinbrooklyn@earthlink.net Message: Lived at 22 Vermont St btwn Sunnyside/Jamaica from '64 to '76. Just spent the last day and a half waking around the old 'hood. Went to Sunday Ma** at St. Michael's-St. Malachy's and met a nice lady named Jan who has lived in the neighborhood for 58 years. Saw neighbors from childhood on Vermont Street. New homes are being built on Sunnyside by the overpa** near Vermont Street. Went inside St. Malachy's School and saw the gym where I played basketball. Lots of great memories! The 'hood seems quiet these days. |
