Message: Hi... my family lived at 369 Glenmore Avenue until about 1976. My sisters and I went to P.S. and I went to IS 292 for junior high. My grandparents, George and Katheryn Peak lived on New Jersey Ave and had a diner.. I think it was on Liberty. Any one remember them, their diner? (or our family)? We all went to St. John's Lutheran Church on Liberty and while I don't remember this myself, my grandfather in particular had been very active in the church. Does anyone remember "Frankels" department store on Atlantic Ave.. and the big fire... I have read about a toy factory fire.. was that the same thing? Would love to know if anyone remembers any of this. I remember one family that lived a couple of houses away from us, the Utects (sp?)...and at one point had seen on this site someone looking for one of the daughters.. Carol I think, but I haven't been able to find that posting again. Please write if you have any info on any of this!! Great site!
