I had cousins on Hendrix, Alabama, Hinsdale, Jerome, Sutter, Bradford and more. The were wonderful days....my mother would always say that we were "not poor" we just didn't have money! |

On my block was St. Malachys School and around the corner was the most beautiful little church one ever had the pleasure of going to, St. Malachys Church! Sunday mornings our mother had us up bright and early for the first ma**. No kid ever dared to go to church in sneakers or jeans like they do these days. Well after 155 years our little church was demolished! I had heard about it but did not believe it until I saw it with my own eyes yesterday and it moved me. So many events she hosted throughout the years like first communions, confirmations, weddings that were a part of our lives. All we have now are our own memories of that little piece of land where there once stood the best little church in the world, St. Malachys church! |

They were also Godparents in the San. Cosmo & Damian parades. Great memories especially Thursday night Confaternity. The pictures of the old church were great rememberances. Thank you for all your effort. |
