We moved to Richmond hill Queens in 1962 when I turned 12 and attended JHS 171. The Ciani Family..My mother Josephine my father Joseph my brothers Carmine Joseph jr my sister Theresa and my little sister Santa. My Grandmother and aunts on my Fathers side lived on the other side of the street. I played stickball in the back schoolyard of PS76. I had a great childhood and have many happy memories of those"good old days" They were the best! |

Thank heavens I don't look like That anymore haha! It was great to read Anthony's [Liccardo] recollection of the names. I only remembered a small handful of their names myself. And I DO remember Lou and Danny's "issue". Danny always thought wayy too much of himself. So good to see my [then] best friend Ivette in the pic too, she was such a sweet, sweet girl... unlike some others in our cla** that hung out with us. Awesome memories! I grew up on Hendrix bet Fulton and Atlantic for 20 years from the late 60's (and on Jerome Arlington/Jamaica in '76 for a yr & back to the house on Hendrix)...went to St. Malachy's, PS 108, IS 302 and F.K.Lane HS. When I was old enough to work, my first purchase was a membership to the 'exclusive' Cypress Hills swimming pool LOL! As a teen I loved walking to Highland Park thru Sunnyside Ave although I could have stayed on Jamaica Ave. I thought Sunnyside ave had such sweet homes. I went back to the block last year for a look see at the old house, and was completely mindblown of all the changes to the neighborhood. The block looked its absolute best in the early '70's, hands down. I'd like to say hello to all who I grew up with in those days...Hello! |

They beat him with a baseball bat. Stevie happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They accused him of something he didn't do. A real great guy who didn't deserve this. As I recall, he wasn't the same after this. He was good friends with Tom Mazio. |
