My dad was a teacher at PS 171. This site brought back many memories.......Thanks for setting it up and thanks to those who share. Does anyone remember the back store? In the Patio area, outside of the mens locker room, was "Hunchback" Dannys concession. He use to rent punching bags, flippers etc. I remember when we were getting dressed in the locker room we use to bang on the mens locker room wall and drive Danny nuts, since his concession was on the otherside of the wall. If you banged hard enough, things use to fall off of wall that were hanging there. |

I attended 171 and F.K.Lane from 1978-1981. I still remember the Hammer Soda Factory on Fountian, the toy factory that burn down on Atlantic Ave. St Rita's where we had no choice but to attened Sun Ma**. F.K.Lane holds dear memories of my teenage years... The famous Mel's Place where we would cut cla**es and play pool. Jumping the fence to escape school thought the Cemetery. Thoses great Football games... Wow too much to put in words... If there is anyone out there that hung out @ Mel's place during the late 70's and early 80's contact me so we can catch up. My best contact is either though facebook under Luz Soto or lsoto@dallowrealty.com. Thx hope to hear from old friends.... |
